The Island Storytellers have a fantastic weekend lined up for anyone looking for something to do.
The Mosaic of Words Storytelling Festival features talks, workshops, competition and live performances for the legendary storyteller Keith Donnelly.
The festival kicks off on Friday night with a meal and live performance from Island storytellers at Brading Roman Villa.
On Saturday there is a family storytelling workshop in the early afternoon followed by a children’s performance by Keith Donnelly, as well as a later one for adults.
Dave Pegg from Fairport Convention said of Keith, “He’s Fab! He’s Great! He’s the best thing since 1999! P.S. We share the same barber.”
Over the years, Keith’s comedy genius has helped the likes of Phil Cool and Jasper Carrott, who incidentally said “Keith could make sheep laugh!”. Not a bad accolade!
Sunday is a storytelling competition for both children and adults.
All this takes place in the wonderful surroundings of Brading Roman Villa, a place that is sure to inspire great the art of storytelling.
With wet weather forecasted for the weekend, this looks to be one the best events happening on the Isle of Wight.
