It’s been a busy month for Timebankers in Ventnor. The recent bread-making workshop was a great success and plans for a new walking group are well underway.
Ventnor Timebank are always keen to hear from residents who may have the time and skills to help others and get something useful to them back in return.
Below are some of the recent requests and offers lodged with Timebank.
Requests
- Do you have a carpet cleaner? One of our Timebankers would love a room to be cleaned using a carpet cleaner.
- Calling all decorators, a room needs one wall papering and three walls painting, can you help out?
- Web techs, a local sports group is looking for someone to up date their website once a month.
- Can you speak Japanese or Mandarin and teach a new Timebank member?
- Are you willing to teach metalwork?
- Could you show someone basic sewing skills?
- Are you skilful enough to help start up a blog?
- Would you be able to put your DIY skills to good use and help with maintaining Ventnor’s unique and popular Skatepark?
- Can you help at Ventnor’s amazing Carnival as a steward?
- Can you help a volunteer gardening Team with the upkeep of Springhill Gardens?
- Are you an artist or have creative skills and would be willing to lead a Timebank workshop?
- Can you use Sign Language and would you like to help someone to improve their BSL?
Or can you lend a helping hand?
Offers
- Would you like some help cooking, maybe having a meal cooked (for cost of ingredients) or learning how to make a certain dish?
- Ever thought about learning to crochet?
- Would you like a Trager session, one of our Timebankers is offering Trager sessions.
- Small or medium items can be taken to the tip if needed.
- Want to learn how to knit? we have a willing Timebanker who can teach you
