New Forest District Council and the National Park Authority have withdrawn their objections following talks between Wightlink and Natural England, This is Hampshire is reporting.
They’re saying that Wightlink is celebrating this as ‘a major breakthrough’.
It all came out at the start public inquiry into Wightlink using the W-class ferries at Lymington.
Last week Wightlink claimed that jobs might be lost, Natural England then disputed Wightlink’s claims, then Wightlink countered.
