Southern Railway have issued the following notice. A revised Southern & Gatwick Express service will operate on most routes on Sunday 6 October 2013.
This is due to essential improvement works which will result in the closure of the Southern platforms at London Victoria station on this day. On mainline services, four trains per hour will run as follows:
London Victoria to Brighton (2 trains per hour)
London Victoria to Lewes (via Brighton) (1 train per hour)
London Victoria to Portsmouth (1 train per hour)
Trains will run to/from Gatwick as follows:

Other mainline services
Other mainline services will be amended with diversions to/from London Bridge. Connections can made be made by changing at East Croydon. Please check before travelling.
