Malcolm Marshall to chair StoneCrabs Theatre: A vision for diversity and global outreach

Malcolm Marshall has been appointed as the new Chair of the Board of Trustees of StoneCrabs Theatre.

Malcolm (pictured below) has recently retired from the Board of the Isle of Wight Youth Trust, where he was Chair for the past six years.   He brings a wealth of experience and expertise from his business background, having spent almost 20 years as a partner at KPMG, most recently as Global Head of Cyber Security Services. 

An accountant by training, he is passionate about the Isle of Wight, the arts, diversity and inclusion – making him a fantastic addition to StoneCrabs Theatre. 

Marshall: We’ll bring the World to the Isle of Wight and the Isle of Wight to the World
Malcolm said,

Its Oral History project Out On An Island, celebrates the heritage of the Isle of Wight LGBTQ+ community. This successful project, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and IW Council, has produced the first ever LGBTQ+ exhibition on the island, a book and an award winning documentary. 

Its Directors In Practice Programme is one of the only trainings of this type in the country. It is an initiative to help emerging directors reach the next stage in their artistic journey. This practical, free course gives participants (from a variety of backgrounds and experiences) the space and time to examine their practice in detail, as well as gain more experience by directing actors in the rehearsal room, working closely with practitioners at the top of their game and producing a festival.
