One man has been airlifted to Southampton General Hospital and a woman was taken to St Mary’s Hospital with serious injuries, following a two-car road traffic incident on Smallbrook Lane, Ryde.
The collision took place just before noon today (Tuesday) and involved a Vauxhall and a Renault.
Cut free by firefighters
The man taken to Southampton and the woman taken to St Mary’s were cut free by firefighters. The woman’s injuries are reported to be serious, but not life threatening.
The man’s injuries are reported as being serious.
‘Walking wounded’
The occupants of the other car, two adults and two children, have been described as ‘walking wounded’ and taken to St Mary’s Hospital.
