Delight in glorious merriment as the Mediaeval Baebes’ Christmas concert observes tradition and commences with a torchlit procession.
Starting at the rear of All Saints Church in Ryde on Saturday 7th December at 6.55pm, the procession will weave its way around to the front of the Church with song and dance, pomp and pageantry.
Join in the pageantry
Baring aloft the flaming torches, they will be joined by musicians playing drums, bagpipes, whistles, stringed instruments and much more.
Concert goers are invited to join in the pageantry, or to just enjoy the illuminated spectacle, before it enters the Church ahead of a remarkable evening of festive music and entertainment.
Classical chart-topping choir
‘The Ceremony’ concert will truly celebrate the spirit of Christmas, with the classical chart-topping choir showcasing well-known Christmas carols and traditional folk songs, alongside tracks from their latest seasonal album ‘MydWynter.’
And, with captivating storytelling uncovering the origins and folklore hidden in the lyrics, the spirited choral music will also include innovative settings of ancient and romantic poetry. The Mediaeval Baebes will be performing their new compositions during the concert too.
