The thoughts are to just stand there, to show the councillors that there are people in town that don’t like the idea of a five-story building blocking out the view of Ventnor and towering over the beach – within a supposed Conservation area!
Amazingly one of the developers, Jamie Macaulay of Bunbury, claimed that the reaction of the town to the public consultation was 50/50 for/against the idea!

Anyone who saw page after page of the comment book saying No Thanks, knows that there were a few in favour – but 50%! Come on.
To us it looks like these people are attempting to re-write history – changing your opinions after you’ve expressed them. Being out on Monday at 11:20am will show the councillors what you really think.
Spread the word. If it goes through on Tuesday, nothing can be done about it. Another brick will be put in the wall blocking Ventnor from the esplanade.
