Police are now able to confirm that a body found in the Playstreet Lane area of Ryde on the Isle of Wight today (Wednesday, October 24, 2012) has been formally identified as Samuel Peter Perkis, aged 25, of Pell Lane, Ryde, Isle of Wight.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
Next-of-kin have been informed.
A post-mortem examination is due to take place later this week.
Police will prepare a file for HM Coroner who will open an inquest in due course.
Officers would like to thank members of the public and the media for their assistance with the search for Mr Perkis.
