Police confirmed that at around 8:20pm Lee’s Suzuki motorcycle was involved in a collision with a Nissan Almera near to the junction with Park Road. He was then subsequently involved in a collision with a Kia Picanto.

Serious injuries
There has been a huge outpouring of sympathy on social media for Lee Daniel, who was airlifted to Southampton Hospital following the incident.

Tragically, his injuries were so severe that he passed away at 4am this morning.

Popular and much-loved Islander
Lee was an incredibly popular Islander, who will be sorely missed by so many. We first met him when we got to know the incredibly brave Asa Singleton.

Rick Stanbridge told OnTheWight,

“He was such an amazing stepdad to Asa and a rock when I lost my Mum and had to look after the family. So proud of him. A huge hole. Words are truly not enough. A very loved man.”

Our sincerest thoughts are with Lee’s family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.
