We’ve just heard how much the Mountbatten Hospice volunteers raised during the Isle of Wight Festival.
It’s a serious amount of cash.
Get ready … an amazing £28,245.00!
This was all by selling their bright yellow sunflowers.
As well as inside the Festival, they were also present at the ferry terminals. They even got Marks & Spencers and Morrisons in on the act, selling on their behalf and that amount has yet to be added.
How about this for devotion? Not only were there twenty volunteers inside the Festival site working, selling all weekend – but some of them paid for their own tickets.
It looks like that kind of devotion has paid off, so well done to the volunteers!

While you’re at it have a look at his other photos of the festival – he’s got some great ones there.
