MP Joe Robertson launches survey to support East Wight small businesses

Joe Robertson, Member of Parliament for Isle of Wight East, has this week launched a survey of small businesses ahead of Small Business Saturday on 7th December.

The survey is being circulated directly to hundreds of businesses in the East Wight Constituency, via email, social media, and is available on Joe’s website.

Joe has launched the survey to better understand what support businesses in the constituency need, and what more the government can do to ensure they are able to grow and thrive.

Robertson: 99% of our businesses in East Wight are SMEs
Joe Robertson MP said,

“I was elected in July with a clear promise to ensure the views of the people of East Wight are represented and their voices are heard on the national stage.

“Small businesses drive the Island economy, with over 99% of our businesses in East Wight being SMEs – each one employing local people and investing in our communities.

“That’s why I am launching this survey to help gather views of businesses large and small. I will be publishing the results via my website in due course and hopefully use some of the comments in my work up in Westminster.”

Patel: Joe has already been backing small local businesses
Raj Patel, a Local Sandown and Shanklin Newsagent, added,

“My Family and I will be filling in Joe’s Small Business Survey.

“Since being elected as our new MP, Joe has already been backing small local businesses unlike the Government which has piled on the pressure through National Insurance increases.

“I look forward to welcoming Joe to my shop for a chat on Saturday and it is great that he is reaching out.”
