Natwest Island Games: Cycling Road Race Starts 5pm Today

Those who went to the Crit on Sunday will know how exciting the bike racing was.

Road race routeWell, today there’s a chance to see more cycling. Don’t miss it!

Following on from the Ladies’ race that started at 1pm this afternoon, the Men’s Road Race starts at 5pm near Rookley.

Finishing over Blackgang Chine
They’ll be racing doing 5½ laps of the course, covering 120km (You can see the map of the route below).

The finish is at the top of the Blackgang Chine – so there’s going to be quite a shortage of breath, we suspect.

Head over after work
Currently there’s sun in Ventnor, so when you leave work, head over and watch. If it’s half as exciting as Sunday’s race, it’ll be brilliant.
