A week on Monday (27th), the second Planning Committee of 2012 takes place, with the committee considering several planning applications.
First up will be an application for demolition of the Wight City Leisure Centre on Culver Parade (pictured).
Refusal of the plans for 63 apartments, a restaurant, bar, commercial and retail units is being recommended by planning officers.
Also being considered is the application for the Marston’s family pub development at Merrie Gardens Farm in Lake. Officers recommend conditional permission for this one.
Change of use for Cowes former-deli
Two properties are applying for change of use. Firstly, the former Deli at 62 High Street Cowes from Class A1 (retail) to Class A3 will be considered.
The applicant, Matt Parker, who also owns the Union Inn plans to convert the premises into a licensed Tapas Bar. Officers recommend conditional permission.
Secondly, councillors on the committee will consider a change of use application to revert Upton View back into a residential premises. It used to form part of The Roadside Inn in Nettlestone.
Finally an application for a single storey side extension in Redstart Close in Newport will be considered.
