33 Parishes is a unique collaborative project bringing together Isle of Wight Grain, Ventnor Botanical Garden, and Wight Knuckle Brewery.
Created with a shared vision, the initiative celebrates the Isle of Wight’s designation as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve while shining a spotlight on the Island’s exceptional produce, biodiversity, and community.
Spearheaded by Pete of Isle of Wight Grain and Ian representing the Isle of Wight Biosphere Reserve, the project set out to create something truly distinctive. Wight Knuckle Brewery was brought on board to craft a beer that reflects both the character of the Island and the richness of its natural environment.
The story behind the name
The name 33 Parishes pays tribute to the 33 parishes that make up the Isle of Wight, with the aim of raising awareness of the Island’s unique ecological landscape.
The brand launches with six distinct labels, each illustrating different native flora and fauna, capturing the diversity that makes the Island so special.
A brand built on collaboration
In keeping with the collaborative spirit of the project, the partners chose not to position any single organisation at the forefront.
Instead, they created an entirely new brand – 33 Parishes – dedicated solely to telling the story of the Island itself.
Supporting the Biosphere with every bottle
With each bottle sold, a donation goes to Isle of Wight Biosphere to support the work that they are doing to uphold our Biosphere status and ensure it benefits the Island and Islanders
Martha Henson, a spokesperson for Isle of Wight Biosphere said,
