The Newchurch Male Voice Choir and the Sea Gels Shanty Band used their ‘Ticket to Ryde’, along with a full bus garage audience and enjoyed a joint concert at the IW Bus and Coach Museum on Bank Holiday Sunday afternoon.
With the choirs showing the diversity of music with their performances.
The audience’s arms were flying
The Men began their set with the debut of ‘Let All Men Sing’. Later, and right on cue, as they were singing Chattanooga Choo Choo, an Island Line train rumble past.
The audience’s arms were flying with Sweet Caroline.
The women had the audience hauling away to ‘South Australia’.

The concert was in support of the Bus Museum and has become an annual fixture.
The support of a large and happy audience
Bob Cooper for the Newchurch MVC said,
“Thank you to the Sea Gels for supporting our concert once again and with the support of a large and happy audience rising much needed funds for the Museum to keep on with the enthusiastic work they are doing in keeping the memories of those buses and coaches of past times alive.”
