Newport man charged following fatal collision at Bouldnor

A man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving following a fatal collision on the Isle of Wight on October 11 last year.

A 26 year old man from Newport, is also charged with causing death by careless driving whilst over the prescribed limit, contrary to Section 3A of the Road Traffic Act 1988. He has been bailed to appear before Portsmouth Magistrates Court at 2pm on April 1, 2014.

The charges are part of Operation Bach, an investigation launched by officers from Hampshire Constabulary’s Road Death Investigation Team, following the collision on the A3054 at Bouldnor in which 28-year-old Rachel Titley, from Cowes, died.
