Number of Posties attacked by dogs on the Isle of Wight

This morning the story of the number of men and women delivering post around the UK which end up getting attacked by dogs was highlighted in the National media.

In days gone past the Postman being bitten by a dog has been material for ‘entertainers’ to joke about. While some of the attacks aren’t too serious, many of them are.

Listening to the Today programme on Radio 4 this morning, it was shocking to hear from one postman who was set upon by two Staffordshire-cross dogs for about 15 minutes. He’s been left disabled for life.
