Only Two Weeks Left To See Standpoint Open: Diamonds In The Rough

There are only two weeks left to view Standpoint Open: Diamonds In The Rough
The West Gallery at Quay Arts.

The work:25 artists responding to the theme ‘Standpoint’. Standpoint (definition: a physical or mental position from which things are viewed, considered or judged; a point of view).

This year, we invited artists, designers and makers from the Island and beyond to exhibit in our biennial Open exhibition responding to the theme, ‘Standpoint’.

Quay Arts’ Young Curators
Co-curated with students from Quay Arts’ Young Curators team, Joe Saunders (17, Sandown High School) and Harriet Bradley (17, Medina College), Standpoint: Diamonds In The Rough offers fresh, dynamic, innovative pieces; from painting, textiles and sculpture, to photography, film and installation, many responding to the theme through everyday observations, but often focusing on place, identity and memory, making a statement from their standpoint.
