It’s probably not surprising to learn that in less than 20 years, the population of over 50s living on the Isle of Wight will increase.
At the weekend, the BBC were reporting that the number of over 50s on the Isle of Wight is set soar over the next 20 years
At the moment, we have the UK’s second highest concentration of over-50s accounting for a whopping 45% of the population.
The BBC revealed that this figure was due to increase to 51% by 2029.
The figures come from the Office of National Statistics and put the Island only second to Dorset who currently have 47% of over 50s in their county.
