The Queen today announced plans to do her bit to help the economy by forming a company provisionally entitled ‘Royal Entertainments Limited’.
Plans are well advanced to lease out Buckingham Palace, and eventually other Royal Households for corporate and private functions.
“We’re sure there are plenty of potential clients for this service,” an official spokespersonman said. “And of course the Palace is amply equipped with both experienced staff and high quality equipment. There will be a range of options available. The Palace can be hired as a whole or in part, and the service can be porcelain, silver or gold plate. In addition members of the Royal Family will act as host for an additional fee.
“For certain select guests, the Queen herself may be induced to pass through, performing her well known regal wave. Prince Philip however will not normally be available, especially when guests of an Asiatic or African heritage are entertained. He has however, announced his willingness to preside over stag parties.”
