Helen shares details of this upcoming fundraising event for Freshwater Library. Ed
This Friday (October 7th) the very wonderful Paul Armfield is performing at Freshwater library.
Paul is an exceptionally gifted songwriter and performer based on the Isle of Wight whose reputation has spread far, far beyond. His last two albums have been repeatedly played on national BBC radio and he plays many concerts and festivals both in the UK and Europe throughout the year.
Gentle musicianship of the highest order
Big, burly and bearded he may be, but there’s nothing brusque or ham-fisted about Paul. His songs, like his persona, are warm and engaging with a lovingly lyrical twist framed by stick-in-your-head melodies and a gentle musicianship of the highest order.
Paul really is something very special and we’re delighted he has agreed to play for us to raise funds for the Library.
A first for West Wight
It’s the first time he has played a full solo concert in West Wight for a long time and we strongly advise you get your tickets in advance as we have limited capacity and they are selling fast.
Whatever your musical tastes we’re sure you’ll really enjoy Paul’s music and we do hope you’ll be able to join us for what promises to be a very special evening at the library.
Book now
Admission is just £5 and tickets can be bought in advance from either Freshwater Library or online.
