Our friends over the water at NeB have got details of a new photo competition that should be of interest of Island photographers. The subject is Portsmouth people, so a good excuse to get off the Island for a day. Ed
That’s right gang, last year’s popular photography competition, The Portsmouth Connection, is back for another round. This time, we’re working with one of Portsmouth’s twin cities, Duisburg, Germany to bring you an opportunity to have your work shown in another country.
We’re celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the Twinning of our two cities, so the people of Duisburg have sent us an exhibition to show here – now we’ve got to send one back, so get your cameras out!
Capture the people of Portsmouth
The theme you’ve got to work with is The People of Portsmouth.
Make us look interesting, make us look dashing, make us look talented, or however else you’d like to show the people that live on our island.
The first round of the competition will see 40 entries selected to be sent across the sea to be shown in Duisburg. On their return, we’ll have a panel of judges look them over and pick out a winner.
For more information and to enter the competition, send your questions or full-size JPEGs to [email protected]
CLOSING DATE – 5th November, 2010
