Photos Give Amazing Insight To Volcano Impact In Iceland

The latest Volcano eruption in Iceland has been reported in UK media from the English-perspective – essentially, ‘Drat, flights have been cancelled’. We’ve missed out on the story in the land where it all started.

Photos tell more that words can
The lava dust hangs in the air, covering everything, like a thick fog.

The brown-grey covering gives an opportunity for strong contrast with colour.

Face-masks are the norm, in an attempt to stop the lava dust entering the lungs.

Photos like this one, which exposes the green grass under the lava-cover, really brings home what a massive impact it’s actually having on the people who live there.
