Police confirm a report was received of an assault at Morrisons supermarket petrol station off Newport Road in Lake on the Isle of Wight.
It’s alleged there was a dispute between a man driving a blue Renault, and a family from West Yorkshire, who were in a BMW in front of him, buying petrol.
Accusations of assault
There are also accusations of an assault involving both motorists during this dispute, which took place shortly after 12.15pm on Sunday, January 8, 2012.
Officers are making enquiries to establish the exact chain of events, and trace the blue Renault and its driver.
