Pupils celebrate World School Milk Day

World School Milk Day is held all over the world on the last Wednesday of September to celebrate the benefits and success of school milk programmes.

The first WSMD was held in 2000, and has since become an annual event promoted by the FAO (Food and Agricultural Organisation of the United Nations).

Pupils from Queensgate Primary
Briddlesford Lodge Farm was pleased to host a Farm visit from Queensgate Foundation Primary School, joining schoolchildren from countries all over the world in celebrating the importance of drinking milk.

The pupils were given a tour of the farm, seeing, stroking and feeding Briddlesford’s Guernsey cows and calves, and finishing with a drink of fresh milk.
