You can be given a real insight into what life is like at Quarr Abbey this week. The working Benedictine Monastery is holding an Open Day on Wednesday (6th August).

Head gardener Matt will be doing talks and a walk around the new woodland area. There’s also the new visitors centre, which takes you right back into the history and life
of Quarr Abbey.

You can meet the volunteers from the new poultry project, treat yourself to a wide selection of souvenirs and gifts in the Monastery shop and view the impressive work of
local artists in the art gallery.

Don’t forget you can also enjoy refreshments in our tea and farm shop.

The open day runs from 11am till 2pm.
