Quay Arts enjoy boost in visitors

This in from Quay Arts in their own words. Ed

Quay Arts has seen a 6% increase in visitor numbers in 2013. Last year over 96,000 visits were made compared to 90,000 visits in 2012.

This demonstrates the importance of Quay Arts to Islanders and the tourism market.

New staffing structure
In the last twelve months there has been changes to the structure of the team at Quay Arts, with a new Artistic Director at the helm developing a wider programme of high quality live events, classes, workshops, and exhibitions and with a new head chef, an enhanced menu and café bar offering.

Robert Miles Artistic Director commented:

“Having an increase in visitors during challenging economic times is fantastic. The Island is awash with talented creative people who appreciate the ethos of what we do at Quay Arts, which is allowing us to buck national trends of declining numbers.

“I would like to thank our loyal customers and first time visitors for supporting their local arts charity. We are proud of what our excellent team do and how we do it. We look forward to continuing with our new spring season of live music, theatre, comedy, cinema, visual arts, children’s programmes and classes and workshops.”
