Listeners of Radio 4’s ‘Ramblings’ programme with Clare Balding, may remember that many years ago (back in 2001), Clare recorded an episode on the Isle of Wight with West Wight resident Elizabeth Hutchings.
Last week, she was back on the Island recording a special Ramblings episode, once again meeting Elizabeth and spending the day with her.
The episode was recorded in Freshwater Bay and then up at the Tennyson monument where Robin Lang from the National Trust took them in his Landrover.
The recording will be the first of a series called ‘Ramblings Revisited’ which airs in February 2014.
