Remembrance Sunday Memorial Service

A Service of Remembrance will take place at St Thomas’ Church in Newport on Sunday 11 November. There will also be similar ceremonies at the same time in several Island towns.

HM Lord-Lieutenant Major General Martin White, the High Sheriff Lt Col David Langford, Chairman of Isle of Wight Council – Cllr Roger Mazillius, and members of the Newport branch of the Royal British Legion will attend the ceremony and church service conducted by the Vicar of Newport. Members and directors of the Isle of Wight Council will also be attending. The Service will be preceded by the laying of wreaths in St Thomas’ Square following the 2 minutes silence at 11.00am.
