On a bright and sunny day, Rew Valley travelled to the north of the Island to play East Cowes. How would the Valley play today? Let’s find out….
The game started with the majority of the play towards Rew Valley.
In the 8th minute, Callum Ryan scored a fantastic goal to put the Valley ahead. Antony Kettell scored the 2nd for the Valley with a great goal.
A few minutes later, Callum Ryan scored his 2nd to put the valley 0-3 ahead. A minute later Antony Kettell scored his 2nd goal to put the valley 0″”4 up.
Great defence and great goal scoring
So fast was the game that just one minute after that Callum Ryan scored his hat-trick with a fabulous goal.
Declan Morgan Philips and George Hyde played fantastically in defence keeping the ball away from the dangerous area when needed. Harry Wintersgill added his name to the score sheet with a brilliant goal in the 21st minute followed by a phenomenal goal by Callum Steele a minute later.
Travis Steptoe played great in midfield showing his speed and talent when on the football pitch. Antony Kettell scored his hat-trick in the 26th minute with a superb goal. Half time came with the score 0-8 to Rew Valley.
Speed continued into second half
The 2nd half began rapidly and saw the teams quite evenly matched. In the 41st minute Antony Kettell scored a magnificent goal which gave the Valley their 9th goal.
East Cowes scored a consolation goal in the 47th minute. A few minutes later, Rew Valley scored two more goals to bring Rew Valley a further lead.
Bailey Exposite played fantastically in goal and made phenomenal saves when he needed too and put up with the times when the ball was in the other half.
The goals just kept coming
In the 51st minute, Callum Ryan scored his 4th goal of the match to bring the score to 1-12.
In the 55th minute, Antony Kettell scored his 5th of the match with a superb goal. Jack Croad played fantastically in his roles up front and later on in defence and showed his talent brilliantly. Full time came with the score 1-13.
Well what a turnaround from last week. A brilliant performance by all team members A fantastic team effort was shown on the pitch and hope this continues was the next game.
