There are a number of road closures, including the Park and Ride, in Cowes from tonight to allow for the removal of pipemines.
The council are reporting that between 11pm and 8am on the nights / mornings of Friday 29 / Sat 30 June and if necessary on Sat 30 June / Sunday 1 July 2012 the following roads will be closed to Vehicles, Cyclists, Horses and Pedestrians:
1. Newport Road, Cowes from a point 390m south of three Gates Road to a point 135m northeast of Three Gates Road.
2. Three Gates Road, Cowes from Newport Road to a point 130m to the southwest of Seaview Road.
3. Seaview Road, Cowes from Three Gates Road to a point 161m north.
The diversion route will be Newport Road, Nodes Road, Place Road, Park Road, Victoria Road and Mill Hill Road.
Park and Ride
The park and ride will be closed from 10pm Friday 29 June to approx 9am Sunday 1 July 2012 – any vehicles left in the car park will not be able to be removed until the car park is reopened.
