BRADING:
Marshcombe Shute. One way restriction. A one way restriction is in operation in Marshcombe Shute in an Eastbound direction (towards Bembridge) from a point 45 metres to the East of Yarbridge Crossroads to Yaverland Road junction from 3.30pm on Tuesday 16 September 2014. The one way restriction is necessary due to the installation of larger temporary safety barriers which have been erected in the interests of road safety by Island Roads adjacent to the railway and River Yar bridges. The vehicle restraint options for B3395 Marshcombe Shute are being considered in consultation with interested parties. Because of the steps that need to be taken before work can begin on site, it is expected that the scheme will be completed by the end of April 2015. The one way system will also stay in place until the works are completed. A full road closure of a few days will be required. The alternative route for all traffic travelling in a Westbound towards Yarbridge Crossroads Brading direction will be; B3395 Yaverland Road and Culver Parade, Fort Street, Avenue Road A3055 Morton Road and Morton Common. The one- way restriction will then be removed.The 6ft 6in width restriction in Yaverland Road, Yaverland will be temporarily suspended whilst the one way restriction is in operation. EAST COWES:
Esplanade will be closed from 2.30pm on Friday 25 April 2014 for the foreseeable future between 375 metres to the northeast of Cambridge Road and the end of the highway 860 metres to the northeast of Cambridge Road. There is no alternative route for traffic. This closure is necessary to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road due to a landslip. A3055 School Green Road (from near junction with Afton Road to a point 150 metres towards Brookside Road). Cameron Close will be closed to vehicular traffic from 7am on Monday 18 November 2013 until 7am on Monday 18 May 2015 between the northern boundary of number 2 (45 metres north of the junction with Camp Road) and the end of the surfaced highway (110 metres to the northeast of Camp Road). The closure is required for the demolition of existing buildings and construction of a new development by Stoneham Construction Ltd.

LAKE:
Ranalagh Road / Cliff Road / Cliff Path. From 1200hrs on Friday 18 July 2014 for the foreseeable future the following roads / path will be closed to vehicular traffic: Cliff Road / Cliff Path will be closed from point 55 metres to the northwest of the junction with Ranalagh Road to point 185 metres to the south west of the junction with Cliff Gardens (the southern boundary of number 6). Ranalagh Road will also be closed from Cliff Road to a point 10 metres to the west of Cliff Road. During the period of closure there is no alternative route for vehicles. Pallance Road was closed from Pallance Lane to Wyatts Lane between 9am on Monday 1 December and Friday 5 December 2014. A further closure of Pallance Road will be necessary between 9am on Monday 5 January and approx. Tuesday 31 March 2015. Temporary traffic lights will be in operation at times when necessary during the works. The closure is necessary for drainage works scheme by Island Roads. RYDE:
The Strand will be closed between East Street and West Hill Road from 9am on Friday 21 November 2014 until Friday 27 February 2015. The closure is for a Sewer Flood Alleviation Scheme to upsize the existing sewer pipeline. The diversion route will be; West Street, Dover Street and Esplanade. Works are due to start near to the junction with West Hill Road. Temporary traffic lights will be in operation when necessary from Monday 17 November 2014 until the end of the scheme. High Street will be closed from Albert Road to Beachfield Road at junction with Melville Street) and St Johns Road will be closed from High Street to Union Street between 7am and 6pm on Wednesday 24 December 2014 for Sandown Christmas Fun day event organised by Sandown Business Association. The one-way restriction in York Road (from St Johns Road to High Street) will all be temporarily suspended to allow access whilst the High Street is closed. ST HELENS:
Duver Road will be closed from 8am on Monday 1 December 2014 until 6pm on Tuesday 31 March 2015 between Upper Green Road and the end of the highway 520 metres to the north east (at the entrance to The Duver Car Park). The closure is for bridge stabilisation works, carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, drainage, kerbing and verge works. The alternative route will be: B3330 Eddington Road and roads within Nodes Point Holiday Park which will be clearly signed. ST LAWRENCE:
A3055 Undercliff Drive will remain closed from St Catherine’s Road to Seven Sisters Road (Western Junction), between Barrington Lodge, near to the western junction with Seven Sisters Road and Mirables which is located about a mile towards Niton. Following significant ground movement in the area in early February 2014, Undercliff Drive has been physically closed between Mirables (in the west) and a point 560 metres to the West of Seven Sisters Road (in the east) for safety reasons. There is now no access for vehicles or pedestrians. The Isle of Wight Council, working with partner agencies including Island Roads and with support from the army, led an operation in February to help residents of nine properties in Undercliff Drive (In an area known as ‘Woodlands’) remove possessions from their homes after they were advised to leave for safety reasons. A formal road and footpath closure will be in operation from Saturday 15 February for the foreseeable future. Island Roads’ work in the road has been suspended and the road will remain closed until the ground has stabilised and further monitoring can be carried out to determine its future.
Access to businesses and attractions in Undercliff Drive. Bath Road will be closed from La Falaise Car Park to Belgrave Road. The closure is necessary for the repair of highway retaining wall R1074 between La Falaise Car Park and a point 70 metres to the Northeast by Island Roads and will be in operation from 8.30am on Monday 3 November 2014 until 4.30pm on Friday 13 February 2015. The diversion route will be: Southbound: Belgrave Road, Zig Zag Road, Alpine Road, Church Street, High Street, Victoria Street, Albert Street, Pier Street, Shore Hill, Esplanade and Bath Road. Northbound: Bath Road, Esplanade, Shore Hill, Pier Street, Church Street, Alpine Road, Zig Zag Road and Belgrave Road.
