Rookley Village Association announces return of the beloved ‘Gardening Galore’ event

Last updated:

Rookley Village Association has confirmed the return of its much-loved ‘Gardening Galore’ event, taking place on Sunday 4th May from 10am to 3pm.

The annual gathering attracts gardeners and plant lovers from across the Island, and has become a firm fixture in the Isle of Wight’s horticultural calendar.

Island-grown plants and supplies
The event brings together a wide selection of stalls run by local plant nurseries, growers and gardening suppliers, all based on the Island.

Visitors can browse and buy everything from perennials to seedlings, garden tools to compost – all with the added reassurance of supporting local growers.

Free entry and parking
The event will take place at Rookley Village Hall and Sports Field, on Highwood Lane.

There is free entry for everyone and free adjacent parking, making it easy to drop off purchases in your car and return to enjoy more of the event.

Homemade cakes and refreshments
When it’s time for a break, the Village Hall will be open for refreshments, including homemade cakes prepared and served by the Rookley Women’s Institute.

The warm and welcoming atmosphere makes it more than just a plant sale – it’s a social highlight for the local community.

Save the date
The Rookley Village Association encourages everyone to save the date (Sunday 4th May from 10am to 3pm) and come along.

Whether you’re after a rare plant or simply want to soak up the gardening inspiration, ‘Gardening Galore’ promises something for all.
