Age UK Isle of Wight (Age UKIW) are calling for fundraisers of all ages and abilities to take on their fun-filled 2K obstacle course this September.
Get covered in every colour of the rainbow as you run (or walk!) your way around their fun filled family friendly colour course, hosted at Porchfield Cricket Club on Saturday 17th September starting from 2pm.
Leachman: Every penny we raise stays on the Island
Elisha Leachman, Age UKIW’s Fundraising Manager, said,
“We are so excited for this year’s Powder Run and Fun day and we hope you will join us in running (or walking!) our course as you get covered in a rainbow of powder whilst helping to raise some much-needed funds your local charity.
“We are also super excited for our fun dog show so if you have a furry friend, come on down to Porchfield Cricket Club to see if you can win a rosette! Every penny we raise, stays on the Island to support our older Island residents to love later life.”
Cost to take part
Entry is £10 for Adults, £5 for Children (13 or under), small additional sponsorship is welcomed.
Every pre-registered participant gets a rainbow pack and a medal of completion.
The Powder Run is kindly supported by NFU Mutual Isle of Wight, Red Squirrel Property Ltd, French Franks, Gallagher Insurance, Porchfield Cricket Club, Biscoes Solicitors, and Red Funnel Ferries.
Dog agility and a fun dog show
Running alongside the Powder Run will be a fun day! Entry to the fun day is free and will be feature local obedience group ‘Barking Mad’ who will host dog agility and a fun dog show!
They offer many fun-filled categories such as ‘Handsomest Mutt’, ‘Best bad hair day’, ‘Dog who looks most like its owner’ and a crowd favourite ‘Waggiest tail’. The dog show starts at 3.15pm.
There will also be funfair games, bouncy castles, bar, bake sale, BBQ and much more!
