Thanks to Steve for this update from Ryde Rowing Club. Ed

Sponsors, supporters and helpers of Ryde Rowing Club were entertained at an informal gathering at their Clubhouse on Friday evening (17th January) to thank them for their support during the last year.

After a welcome and thanks from Club Captain Peter Allsopp, and a short presentation on the club’s activities and successes in 2013 – which included South Coast Championship wins for the Men’s Coastal Junior Four and Boys J14 Coxed Quad and a Hants & Dorset ARA Championship for the Men’s Coastal Junior Four – a presentation was made to a Dani Johnson, the Central Funding Coordinator for the Earl Mountbatten Hospice representing KissyPuppy – the Sophie Rolf Fund.

Following various fund raising activities, the club was able to hand over a cheque for over £300 to this very worthwhile local cause.
