Salty’s customers raise over £10,000 for RNLI Yarmouth with help from business owners

Customers of Salty’s restaurant in Yarmouth have raised an impressive £8,138 for the RNLI Yarmouth lifeboat station, with the business owners adding a further 25 per cent, bringing the total donation to over £10,000.

The funds were collected over the course of the year, with customers donating £1 per person each time they dined at the two-AA rosette restaurant.

How the money will be used
RNLI Yarmouth, which relies on donations to function, will use the money to purchase vital life-saving equipment, train new volunteer crew members, and provide education and supervision.

£20,000 goal for 2023
Edward Panek, Director of Salty’s, stated that the restaurant is aiming to double the amount raised next year, with a goal of reaching £20,000 in 2023.

The cheque was presented by Janine Kennedy, Manager of Salty’s, along with the business owners, at the RNLI Christmas Fair Fundraiser at the Royal Solent Yacht Club earlier this month.

Giving back to the local community
Salty’s say they are committed to giving back to the local community through its fundraising efforts.
