A quick note before the weekend starts.
Monday just past saw the fireworks display in Sandown.
We find the firework display at Sandown is consistently one of the most well-attended on the Island. Monday night was no exception. There were loads of people there. It’s hard to estimate as it’s so spread out, but the organisers think around the 4,000 mark. This was all despite it being an evening with a sharp edge to it.
Carnival procession
One of the reasons the evening is quite so popular could well be down to the carnival procession that takes place before the loud bangs begin.
The fireworks finale was spectacular, with their crowd showing their obvious appreciation after the event.
Well done to all involved
Good work for all of those involved including those in the carnival procession before the fireworks and the Sandown Carnival committee.
