As some of the residents of Freshwater may already know, the Sandpipers hotel and the Fat Cat bar in Freshwater is under new ownership.
After having suffered financial difficulties during 2008, it fell into the hands of an administrators.
Now a Leicestershire couple, Mike and Karen Cotton, are now the new owners it’s reported.
Offers in the region of £875,000 were recently being invited.
It sounds like more work is to be carried out on it, with the Fat Cat restaurant and bar, originally three separate parts, being merged to create seating for up to 60 customers.
The Cottons already have another hotel, Harboro hotel in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire.
