The event sees hundreds of participants – each dressed as Santa – make the 5km fun run along Ryde Esplanade. This year’s dash will be on Sunday, 7 December, starting from Ryde Superbowl at 11am.
How to enter
Entry is £15 per Santa (over 12 years) and £5 for younger Santas. The entrance fee buys a Santa costume in which to run – and keep afterwards – and all the festive treats you can eat. The £15 charge includes £5 for the cost of the suits and refreshments, and a £10 Christmas donation to the Hospice.

Make a dash and win a holiday
Last year’s Santa Dash saw around 400 Santas run along Ryde Esplanade in aid of the Hospice.
This year there is an extra incentive as those who raise over £50 will be entered into a prize draw to win a week at Seaview Holidays.
Events Fundraiser at the Hospice, Dani Johnson, said:
“The Santa Dash has become one of the most popular of all our fundraising events. Not only is it a chance to grab a bit of extra exercise, it is also really good fun. The atmosphere is incredibly festive, with hundreds of Santas all dashing along Ryde Seafront being cheered on by spectators.
“As well as being really good fun, the important thing is the Santa Dash raises significant amounts of money to help us provide patient care at the Hospice. The more people who take part, the merrier it is and the more money is raised, so if you are a regular or a newcomer then please sign up.”
