As we reported last week, Cabinet member for Economy and the Environment, Cllr George Brown, was due to make a delegated decision on the sale of surplus school sites.
Papers released today confirm that Cllr Brown went for Option A “To declare the sites surplus to requirements, obtain outline planning consent, where appropriate, and market”.
The call in period for the decision expires at 5pm on Thursday 14 July.
The reasons cited for the sale is to “support the future investment in the school improvement scheme and deliver Phases 4 and 5 of the Schools Capital Programme at schools across the Island”.
