Police are now in a position to release the name of the man who died in a road traffic accident on the Isle of Wight on Sunday June 15.
He was Kenneth John Mead, 59, of Parkway, Binstead in Ryde.
Mr Mead was riding a scooter along the A3054 Binstead Road, from Ryde to Newport at around 4.10pm.
It’s thought he lost control of the vehicle and then collided with a post at the side of the road. Nobody else was involved in the incident.
He was taken to St Mary’s Hospital, where he was sadly pronounced dead.
