The family of an Isle of Wight taxi driver are distraught with worry after he went missing at the end of last week.
50 year old Michael Hawkewell was last seen by relatives just before 8pm on Friday night.
Police have this morning told OnTheWight
“Michael Hawkewell, of Scarrots Lane, Newport, was last seen by a family member on Friday at 7.45pm at the Red Jet ferry terminal in Cowes.
“The police were yesterday (Sunday) investigating the possibility of Mr Hawkewell being on the mainland.”
Sarah Kearns, Michale’s niece said,
“We are all very concerned for Michael’s well-being and safety. We have been carrying out our own searches for him. We simply do not believe that he has travelled to Manchester and are desperate to hear that he is safe and well.”
He is described as:
– White
– Slim Build
– Short, brown, balding hair
– 5ft 7
He was last seen wearing:
– A denim jacket
– Jeans
– A dark-coloured T-shirt
– Black Trainers
