The Shanklin Rotary Annual Sale was was kicked off yesterday by a special guest.
Rotary District Governor, Caroline Millman, made the journey down from Salisbury to cut the ribbon and officially welcome the hoards of shoppers into the sale at Park Resorts, Lower Hyde.
Keen bargain hunters had been queuing for two hours prior to the opening at 10am with regulars, Dave and Dee, proudly taking first place in the queue.
The large hall stuffed full of all manner of items welcomed the shoppers, with estimates of around 500 bodies through the doors in the first two hours.

The sale takes place between now and Saturday from 10am until 4pm daily (8pm Wednesday) and again next week from Tuesday-Saturday (8pm Wednesday).
The stock be being constantly refreshed as new items are collected from around the Island.
Don’t forget that all proceeds go back into charities and community groups on the Island and last year raised over £45,000.
