Islander Ali Francis, who is now studying Zoology BSc at Royal Holloway College, University of London, is hoping News OnTheWight readers can help.
Ali is working on a project about roadside verges and their ecological significance. It’s a subject that News OnTheWight has covered before and know that many readers have a great interest in biodiversity and the Isle of Wight’s UNESCO Biosphere status.
Should take less than ten minutes to complete
Ali would be very grateful if readers could complete his survey on the subject. He explains,
“Road verges are an often overlooked part of our landscape, but they make up 1.2 per cent of Great Britain.
“In this project we are interested in the public perceptions of the different ways that these road verges can be managed.
“This survey should take less than ten minutes to complete, and the results are completely anonymous. This research is being carried out at Royal Holloway University of London, and ethical approval has been given.”
