Gemma Graves, NSPCC Community Fundraising Manager,
If you’re looking to test yourself then why not sign up to the Isle of Wight Challenge and raise money for the NSPCC?
Choose your distance and walk, run or jog around the coastal paths of the Isle of Wight between Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 April 2017.
Take on the full Island with either a one day or two day challenge which sets off from Chale and covers 106km. Head past the famous Needles with Cowes the half-way point.
Two halves?
Too much? Smaller distances are also available. There’s the first half Island and second half Island which is 50km long or the first quarter Island and second quarter Island at 25km.
All routes are fully supported with pace walkers, marshals, medics and masseurs.
Challenge highlights include:
- Fully signed route, plus maps and GPS files
- Food and rest stop on route
- Flexible start times
- Shuttle buses from the finish to ferry terminals or Cowes
- Optional pre-challenge camping in West Cowes
- Finisher’s medal and T-shirt for all participants
- Full Island trophies for fastest male and female
- Free NSPCC trekking T-shirt
Registration fees and the amount you need to raise for each challenge can be found on our Website.
Remember, every mile you trek and every penny you raise will help us be there when a child needs us.
