Many people both on the Island and over the Solent are concerned about the threat to the Children’s Heart Unit in Southampton.
232,733 signatures objecting to the closure have been collected and were duly delivered to Downing Street yesterday by the campaign group.
The Daily Echo has really got behind the campaign to save the Unit. It’s good (and frankly refreshing) to see a local paper actually getting involved with something that’s important to the people who live in their area.
