A couple of Star Wars fans, Sammi Gardiner and Duncan Thomson, are carrying out what’s thought to be the Island’s first Star Wars wedding in May.
Fourth of May to be exact, or more applicably, May the 4th, as in “May the force be with you.”
The happy couple will of course be dressed up in character – Sammi as Princess Leia and Duncan as Han Solo. Each of the fifty guests are also expected to dress up in Star Wars get up.
It’s not just the clothing that are getting a Star Wars make over, the ceremony has had music and script elements picked out of the films, with the dark lord, Darth Vader, presiding.
The wedding will be taking place at the The Fernbank Hotel in Shanklin.
