Steam Railway Proms: A blend of popular melodies and railway magic

The Isle of Wight Symphony Orchestra makes a welcome return to the wonderful Isle of Wight Steam Railway on Saturday 29th July for the third Steam Railway Proms.

The concert starts at 3pm and will feature music to entertain the whole family.

Musical highlights
Musical highlights will include a medley of James Bond theme, The Devil’s Gallop (theme music to Dick Barton for those that remember it) and various railway related pieces.

The concert will end in traditional style with audience participation singing along to Rule, Britannia!, Land of Hope and Glory, and Jerusalem.

The Steam Railway will be running its normal timetable on the day, including a late train service after the concert.

Food and refreshments
The bar will be open as will the food outlets, but you are welcome to bring your own picnics.
