Thanks to Hannah for news of more successful fundraising for St Catherine’s. Ed
On Sunday 17th June, four brave supporters of St Catherine’s took to the sky for a 14,000 foot skydive to support children and young people with speech, language and communication needs.
Becky Grant, the charity’s vocational co-ordinator, her daughter Lottie Laidler, teacher Ian Rees and Barry Grant travelled to Salisbury to complete a tandem skydive.
Here comes the sunshine
After an anxious wait for gaps in the cloud, the jumpers finally had some sunshine mid-afternoon and were given the all clear to jump.
After the skydive Becky said, “It was an amazing experience. I was terrified before we went up in the plane, but it was such an exhilarating experience I would definitely do it again”.
Hannah Davison, Fundraising Assistant at St Catherine’s said “This is a fantastic achievement; Becky, Lottie, Ian and Barry have been working really hard to raise funds for St Catherine’s.
“One of their creative fundraising ideas included a quiz night that Barry organised at the school; it was a big success and raised lots of laughs as well as money! We would like to thank them for choosing to support St Catherine’s “.
